Resources Technical Documents Flow Cytometry - a Basic Introduction. By Michael G Ormerod

Technical documents description.....

A new book on flow cytometry which can also be accessed, for free, on the Web.
Today, every biological scientist needs to have basic knowledge of flow cytometry in order to utilise the technique properly and to have a better understanding of other people’s data, even if they do not use it in their own research.
This new introductory book has been written by an experienced flow cytometrist who has a wide reputation as an instructor in flow cytometry, lecturing on courses and workshops world-wide. The book will give you that knowledge, aiming at people coming to flow cytometry for the first time. It has been kept to a reasonable length (116 pages) so that it can be read within an acceptable time. While the book is not comprehensive, it covers most of the major applications in mammalian biology.
A unique feature of the book is that it can also be accessed on the Web, where most of the figures have links to the data file from which they were derived. Using the free FCS Express Reader, produced by Denovo Software, the layout used to create each figure can be accessed. In some cases, extra information is supplied, including other data files. The reader can experiment with the analysis of the data.
