DRAQ7™ shows negligible effect on long-term viability assays
Data opposite shows that DRAQ7™ is the ideal viability monitor in:
- cytolytic antibody assays
- long-term viability / apoptosis assays
- dynamic in vitro toxicology assays
The ability to follow assays in a real-time, dynamic manner over several days is important for anti-cancer compound evaluation, in vitro toxicity and apoptosis studies. To monitor such an assay in real time for cell death requires that the reporting molecule does not impact on the proliferative potential of live, intact cells. DRAQ7™ can be used as such a "viability dye" over several days.
The data show that standard (3µM) and high (10µM) concentrations of DRAQ7™ do not have any impact on the proliferative capacity of SU-DHL-4 cells exposed for 4 days.
