DRAQ7TM - Imaging Features
- Staining fixed cell/tissue nuclei in minutes in buffer or culture medium with no need to wash prior to imaging
- Dual cyto:nucl staining for translocation tracking for fixed cells
- Labeling DEAD/membrane-compromised (apoptotic) cells in cytotoxicity assays
- Far-red staining of prokaryotic/eukaryotic DNA - location and orientation
- High penetration through cell layers for confocal imaging studies
- Analysis of nuclear morphology, staining parallels Histone H2b
- Compatible with GFP and conventional visible range fluors in fixed cells
- Nuclear discrimination for end-point functional assays to be performed on fixed cells in parallel with vis. range fluors (e.g. GFP, AlexaFluor 488, YFP, AF568, ..)
- 2-photon excitation possible beyond 1000 nm wavelengths
- 2-photon excitation dark for Ti-Sapphire laser range 700-850 nm wavelengths
