DRAQ5TM - Cell-Based Assay Features
- Make compound screens 10% more effective: Visible range excitation avoids UV "white-out" from coincidental natural UV fluorescence of ca. 10% of compounds in a library when using DAPI / Hoechst dyes.
- See ALL the cells in the well, including the MDR cells: Hoechst is actively pumped out of MDR cells which are then missed in the cell screen. DRAQ5 is not pumped by transporters. Compatible with LIVE end-point or FIXED cell assays.
- Double the speed of the screening assay: Emission in the far-red makes it ideal for GFP ligands - spectral separation allows simultaneous acquisition of signals and Nucl:Cyto differential labeling, ideal for translocations. A typical 12 week GPCR screen can be reduced to 6 weeks!!
