| Using CyGEL™ to immobilise fluorescent beads |
The time-lapse pictures below‡ illustrate how fluorescent beads are effectively immobilised using CyGEL Sustain, allowing for the simple and accurate calibration of optical instrumentation in X, Y and Z orientations. The same can be achieved with cells.
The formulation of CyGEL Sustain provided by Biostatus also conveniently allows the user to immobilise BOTH beads and LIVE cells for accurate calibration and analysis over several hours.
‡ The colours shown represent the new positions of the beads in each image, where white is the original position at 0 sec. As can be seen, the CyGEL mounted beads do not move.
