CyGEL™ Live C elegans Imaging
- CyGEL™ allows the immobilisation of LIVE C. elegans
- Organisms can be recovered live after up to an hour.
- CyGEL™ accepts viability dyes and anaesthetic such as Levamisole

The image shows a C.elegans strain (expressing a GFP::H2B reporter in the germline to visualize nuclei), anaethetized with 0.5mM Levamisole, mounted and imaged in CyGEL. The image is of a live worm and the worm was recovered easily from the CyGEL after imaging. The CyGEL used was PBS-primed (per protocol) and doped with 1mM Levamisole to restrict movement of the worm. The gonad is outlined with a white dotted line and the asterisk depicts the distal end of the gonad.
