Laser Scanning Slide & Microplate Cytometry
Laser Scanning Cytometry is a novel technology combining laser illumination of cells for fluorescent signals of phenotype, light scatter and classical morphology.
Unlike the conventional flow cytometer the sample (cells / tissue section) is static in a microscope slide or microtitre plate format. Depending on the resolution this may allow repeated access to single preparations and, like a normal microscope, offer cell morphology.
DRAQ5™ is an ideal "trigger" for live / fixed cell analysis and as a measure of cell cycle status.
CyGEL™ is an ideal mountant for live sample analysis on the laser scanning cytometer especially for suspension cells or fresh tissue sections. Cells could be recovered after detailed visual / spectral analysis for downstream biochemical investigation.
